Grief Support
Bereaved Families of Ontario
Bereaved Families of Ontario – Midwestern Region (BFO-MR) provides peer grief and bereavement support to families and individuals in Waterloo Region, Guelph and Wellington County and surrounding areas.
Our facilitators, who are bereaved themselves, bring compassion and a unique understanding to our programs. Volunteers are extensively trained so they not only bring their personal experiences and grief journeys to the programs they facilitate, but also the necessary education and resources to ensure a positive experience for our members

Hospice Wellington Grief Supports
It can be difficult to deal with grief when a loved one dies. Grieving is a natural process—it has no expiration date and it is different for everyone. Sometimes people are surprised at the intensity of their physical and emotional pain they feel and at the length of time they feel this way. Hospice Wellington is here to offer support for you when you have been affected by death and are mourning the loss of a loved one. You may find our groups, workshops or one-to-one support groups helpful. Grief can feel very lonely and isolating. Attending a grief and bereavement support group is a reminder that you are not alone.
The Nightingale Centre - For Grieving Children, Youth & Families
Here to support children and families living with, or anticipating, the death of a significant person in their life. Through 1:1 and group support, in addition to partnerships in the community, it is their goal to raise awareness of the painful impact that the death of a loved one has on a family and to ensure that no child or family in our community grieves alone. The grief support programs and services are delivered by trained professionals and are available at no cost to families.
